What it is
Shaderbook is a personal library of WebGL and Three.js shader scenes. It combines a browser-based Studio for authoring visuals, a preset system for saving named configurations, and a lightweight SDK for embedding scenes into websites.
Each scene is treated as a numbered volume. The first volume, Flow Wave, ships as an adjustable motion graphic with controls for shape, speed, color, glow, and mesh density.
How it works
- Design scenes in the Studio.
- Save reusable presets as JSON.
- Embed a scene anywhere with a single script tag.
- Mount scenes programmatically through the SDK when custom control is needed.
System
Shaderbook is structured around a shared scene interface. Each scene includes defaults, a schema for Studio controls, and lifecycle methods for mounting, updating, resizing, pausing, resuming, and destroying the WebGL instance. This keeps new shader scenes portable across the Studio, SDK, and public examples.
Direction
The project is built as a personal alternative to hosted motion-graphics tools: an authoring environment, a self-hosted CDN surface, and a growing library of reusable visual scenes that can be dropped into product and brand websites.
